Do you have what it takes to be the next hot food personality? Maybe you're a bit too unconventional for The Food Network, but you have a great idea for an as-yet-undone video, class, or demonstration. Now's the time to strut your stuff and show us what you know!

The Chef's Loft is looking for food-o-philes with a knack for engaging the audience with entertaining yet educational food & drink presentations. Similar to open mic nights for musicians, Open Kitchen Night provides a kitchen studio for you to display your talents - in just 5 minutes! Tonight, Devi Vann will treat us to tasty Myanmar cuisine, among others. This will be a highly interactive evening of fun and variety.

You do not need to be a professional chef to participate - just be passionate about your subject. Bring your friends to cheer you on! Not interested in participating? Come support our great local talent and get a preview of some of the classes we will be offering.

Note: If you plan to participate:

Please send your recipe a few days ahead of time to ahoffman@thechefsloft.com. Alternately, please bring copies of your recipe to hand out to the audience that night.

Be sure to bring any ingredients or equipment you will need for your presentation - this includes serving ware, silverware, and small appliances (food processors, blenders, etc.).

Chefs who are interested in teaching at The Chef's Loft must attend at least one Open Kitchen Night before their classes will be scheduled.

Doors open at 6:30 pm; presentations start promptly at 7.
